I did this on my modified Chromebook (ChrUbuntu 12.04).

Step 1: add the Insync public GPG key for authentication
wget -O - https://d2t3ff60b2tol4.cloudfront.net/services@insynchq.com.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add -

wait... wait... actually, I was all impatient and clicked stuff several times before it was really ready, I guess...
but eventually my clicks caught-up and @ some point and...
a nifty new little icon in the sys tray for Insync... Right-mouse click that and off you go!
